Oracle Database 11g : Administration I 

Total Number of hours: 40 hrs

database-managementPre-requisite : Basic computer and programming knowledge, Basic Operating System knowledge (Linux, Unix, Windows etc) and SQL programming knowledge preferably completed SQL programming course offered by NetPlus College of Information Technology.

Program Description:The Students will gain a conceptual understanding of Oracle database architecture and how its components work and interact with one another. Topics include database creation, performance monitoring, database security, user management and backup/recovery techniques.

Although this course will help prepare them for the Oracle exam IZO-052, the primary intent of the course is to encourage students to gain hands-on skills by working in teams to solve real-life problems. The students will also be working on mini projects which will help them further their DBA skills and enhance career prospects in the DBA field.

 

Upon completion of this subject the student will be able to:

  • Install Oracle Grid Infrastructure
  • Install and configure Oracle Database 11g
  • Configure Oracle Net services
  • Monitor and administer undo data
  • Manage the database storage structures
