Program Description: This course will prepare student for the CompTIA Network+ 2009 certification exam. Student will learn about configuring, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and managing basic network infrastructure.
Certification: CompTIA Network + 2009, Exam N10-004 or JK0-016
Upon completion of this subject the student will be able to:
- Able to identify common physical network topologies
- Explain common logical network topologies and their characteristics
- Explain the function of each layer of the OSI model
- Categorize standard cable types and their properties
- Identify common connector types
- Categorize LAN technology types and properties
- Install, configure and differentiate between common network devices
